What is Stop the Bleed?

Stop the Bleed is a national initiative that empowers individuals to take action in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Life-threatening bleeding can result from everyday accidents, disasters, or violent incidents, and a trained bystander can be the difference between life and death.

This hands-on training will equip participants with the skills necessary to recognize and control severe bleeding in various emergency situations.

What You’ll Learn:

During this Stop the Bleed course, participants will receive expert instruction and practical experience in:

✅ Identifying Life-Threatening Bleeding – Learn how to quickly assess an injury and determine if bleeding is severe enough to require immediate intervention.
✅ Applying Direct Pressure – Master techniques to stop bleeding using hands, bandages, or clothing.
✅ Wound Packing – Learn how to pack a deep wound to control hemorrhaging.
✅ Proper Tourniquet Application – Gain hands-on experience with tourniquets and understand when and how to use them effectively.
✅ Responding to Real-World Scenarios – Build confidence in making split-second decisions during high-stress situations.
